Gloria Zastko, Realtors is proud to announce a huge milestone for one of its agents, Mark J. Schmidt, broker-associate, is celebrating his 15th year selling real estate.
After a successful selling career in the hospitality industry, Schmidt became interested in real estate, and was eager to dive in headfirst. He got his real estate license and started as a full-time real estate agent in 2002.
Schmidt attributes his longevity in the industry to a number of different factors, beginning with his customer-centric focus. “I’ve always put my clients first, no matter what I was selling,” Schmidt explained. “With real estate, it’s so much more personal, because you’re talking about someone’s home, where they’re going to spend the years making memories to last a lifetime. That’s a heavy mantle to carry.”
He also makes a point to constantly work to improve his knowledge of the market and the service he gives his clients. “The market today is vastly different than it was fifteen years ago. My goal has always been to set myself apart for my clients,” Schmidt said. He does this by focusing on what he says are the things that matter most to his clients – market knowledge, negotiation, and good old fashioned client care. Schmidt continued, “When your clients see you have the experience to get the job done, it helps them relax and have a stress-free move.”
Technology plays a big part in Schmidt’s business. It’s important that I share what I know with my clients!”
