Night of entertainment on tap at Millstone arts center

MILLSTONE – New Jersey 101.5 personalities Dennis and Judi are returning to the Millstone Performing Arts Center, Dawson Court, Millstone Township, on Feb. 11 with the station’s nighttime personality Steve Trevelise and legendary entertainer Uncle Floyd.

The show, originally scheduled for Jan. 7, was postponed by snow. It will be hosted by Trevelise , a 17-year-veteran of comedy who has performed throughout New Jersey and the Delaware Valley opening for, among others, Gilbert Gottfried, Robert Klein, Louis Anderson, and the late Richard Jeni and Bill Hicks.

Dennis and Judi take their “unfocused mess” to the stage, talking about everything from their lives to what is going on in the state New Jerseyans call home, according to a press release.

Uncle Floyd was immortalized by the late David Bowie in the 2002 song “Slip Away.” Bowie was a fan of Floyd’s television show, which he used to watch with John Lennon, according to the press release. Uncle Floyd appeared in the movie “Good Morning Vietnam” with Robin Williams.

“I love the texture of this show,” Trevelise said. “I open with quick set-up and punch Jersey jokes, followed by Dennis and Judi telling stories and bringing the audience in, followed by Uncle Floyd knocking it out of the park with his comedy and music.”
