Soccer star honored for academic accomplishments

NORTH BRUNSWICK – A young woman with a background in student politics and soccer has received recognition from her hometown.

Sarah Glazewski of North Brunswick is a junior at Bishop George Ahr High School in Edison, where she is part of the Distinguished Honor Roll due to her 3.99 GPA.

She is the Student Council representative for her homeroom; is part of the International Club; is a member of the Student Ambassador Club; is involved with the Ahr Star program to provide financial, spiritual and emotional support to chronically ill and terminally ill children; is a board member of the Christian Social Action Club; and served as the vice president of the sophomore class.

Sarah played soccer for North Brunswick Township from age four to eighth grade. She is on the varsity soccer team at Bishop Ahr, while also playing for a club team in Princeton.

Additionally, Sarah has been a Girl Scout since kindergarten, is an altar server at St. Bartholomew’s and volunteers with Buddy Ball and the Special Olympics in North Brunswick.

Sarah was named the February 2017 Scholar Athlete Artist by the North Brunswick Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Services during the North Brunswick Township Council meeting on Feb. 6.
