Join the Ocean Township Shade Tree Commission and the Ocean Township Environmental Commission for a panel discussion on ways to keep shade trees healthy. “Going Green – Creating a Green Home and a Greener Community – A Healthy Tree is a Happy Tree” will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on March 4.
Learn about the current threats, challenges and dangers to shade trees native to this area, as well as the importance of maintaining healthy shade trees. Expert panelists will provide the latest information on simple ways to protect trees to increase their life span. Light refreshments will be provided.
A children’s craft will be held from 11:15 a.m.-noon. Bring the children for an environmentally friendly themed craft suitable for all ages.
