Raritan Bay Medical Center events slated March 1

SOUTH AMBOY — Raritan Bay Medical Center, a member of the Hackensack Meridian Health family, will sponsor a healthy heart event providing free education about chronic heart conditions, medication management, blood pressure screenings and heart rate testing, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on March 1 at South Amboy YMCA, 200 John T. O’Leary Blvd. High blood pressure and irregular heart rate is associated with stroke, heart failure, heart attack and other life threatening conditions.  Take advantage of these screenings and education to maintain a healthy heart.

PERTH AMBOY — Raritan Bay Medical Center, a member of the Hackensack Meridian Health family, will provide an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR class from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. on March 1 at the Raritan Bay Area YMCA, 357 New Brunswick Ave., Perth Amboy. Participants will receive certification in CPR for adults, infants and children and learn about ventilation devices, automated external defibrillators and how to clear an obstructed airway in responsive and unresponsive patients. The cost is $80 per person. Make checks payable to Raritan Bay Medical Center. Registration is required; call 1-800-DOCTORS (1-800-362-8677).
