The Garden State Film Festival has announced that the film “Broken Home,” directed by Manalapan resident Rob Cuollo, will screen at the 2017 festival in Atlantic City.

“Broken Home” is based on a true story centering around the downfall of a mother-son relationship due to her alcoholism, according to a press release.

The bond between mother and son slowly, yet drastically starts to disappear, separating the family little by little. The mother brings her addiction into the lives of the people she loves, creating a broken home.

“We are excited to be able to present ‘Broken Home’ as part of our 15th annual film festival in Atlantic City, and shine a spotlight on the extraordinary talent from our state,” said Margaret Fontana, the festival’s executive director.

“Broken Home” will screen on April 2 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. in Dante Hall during the Garden State Film Festival, which runs from March 30 through April 2.  Individual screening tickets are $14 in advance and $15 at the door and weekend passes are $45 in advance and $50 at the door, available at www.gsff.org and at festival box offices.
