Civil War re-enactor to present program March 19

Civil War Soldier Re-enactor, Richard L. Hill talks about life as a soldier at that time, during a presentation on Mar 19, sponsored by The East Brunswick Historical Society.

The East Brunswick Historical Society will present “Civil War Soldier Re-enactor, Richard L. Hill” at 2 p.m. on March 19 at the East Brunswick Senior Center, 3 Civic Center Drive, East Brunswick.

Richard Hill, a retired educator and amateur historian, is dedicated to presenting an authentic and balanced image of military and civilian figures representative of the American Civil War (1861-1865) for the edification of students, scholars, business managers and the general public.

Over the past 20 years, Hill has worked with the National Parks Service at Gettysburg National Military Park, Antietam Battlefield, Monocacy Battlefield, Harpers Ferry National Parks and numerous state parks and historic sites in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. Additionally, he has given presentations as a soldier for many schools, museums and libraries throughout the region.

All are invited, including children, history novices and experts. Refreshments will be served.
