Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey takes Ash Wednesday to the streets

As part of the nationwide Ashes to Go movement, clergy and lay people will visit transit stops, street corners, coffee shops and college campuses to mark the foreheads of Christians with ashes at more than 25 locations around New Jersey.

On Ash Wednesday, March 1, local sites include St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 505 Main St., Spotswood; St. James Church, 2136 Woodbridge Ave., Edison; the South Brunswick Park & Ride, Route 130 south, South Brunswick; and the Metuchen Train Station, at the corner of Main Street and Woodbridge Avenue, Metuchen.
