The Library Gallery at the Metuchen Public Library, 480 Middlesex Ave., Metuchen, will hold the opening reception for “Friends and Neighbors,” an exhibit of life-size paintings and drawings by local artist Joan Arbeiter, from 1-4 p.m. on March 5. “Friends and Neighbors” will be exhibited through April. In the event of inclement weather, the opening reception will be held on March 12.
Joan’s work has been seen in over 30 solo exhibitions and 100 group shows, and is in the permanent collection of the Noyes Museum, the Ms. Foundation, and in public and private collections nationwide. She is an inaugural member of the Ceres Gallery in Chelsea, New York.
