Breakfast program on creative arts therapy for children slated

Temple Shalom of Aberdeen’s Caring Committee will hold the breakfast program, “Creative Arts Therapy for At-Risk Children,” at 9:30 a.m. on March 26 at 5 Ayrmont Lane, Aberdeen.

The program is open to the community and will feature Cindi Westendorf, a licensed professional counselor and Board-certified art therapist. She is coordinator of Amanda’s Easel, a creative arts intervention program for families.

Creative arts therapy allows children to cope with their emotions and to express themselves through art, dance/movement, play and group discussions. Amanda’s Easel was founded by the Friends of Amanda Foundation and 180 Turning Lives Around Inc.

The cost is $5 and includes a light breakfast. For more information, contact Sam Shapanka at 908-601-0484 or sam.shapanka@gmail.com.
