Barkalow pupils to perform ‘Grease’

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP – Students at the Barkalow Middle School, 498 Stillwells Corner Road, will present the musical “Grease” at 7 p.m. March 24 and at 2 p.m. March 25. Admission is free and all community members are invited to attend.

The Barkalow production of “Grease” is directed by Leah Curatolo. Courtney Colford is the assistant director.

The cast includes eighth-graders Tommy Lucas as Danny, Meghan Roeder as Sandy, Caleb Zettell as Doody, Maya Sta. Ana as Rizzo, Joseph Shein as Kenickie, Brooke Harrington as Marty, Marielle Ibaretta as Frenchie, Bella Altini as Jan, Sydney Camisa as Patty Simcox, Morgan O’Shea as Miss Lynch, and Gracie West and Rebecca Waldman as the Pink Ladies; seventh-grader Joseph Shaulov as Eugene; and sixth-graders Julian Thacker as Roger, Ava Marino as Cha Cha DiGregorio and Gianna Lombardi as Blanche.

Also in the cast are eighth-graders Julia Glatt and Kaleigh Brendle and seventh-grader Melanie Wohl as the featured singers, seventh-graders Alexandra Gandolfo, Megan Chang and Kelsey Lally and sixth-graders Miranda D’Onofrio, Paige Novak and Jessica Dutka as the dance troupe, and seventh-grader Gianna Dembski and sixth-grader Logan Feldman as the head cheerleaders.
