The Non-Fiction Book Club will discuss “On the Move: A Life” by Oliver Sacks at 1:30 p.m. on April 13 at the Long Branch Free Public Library, 328 Broadway.

Oliver Sacks, M.D., was born in 1933 in London and was educated at Queen’s College, Oxford. He completed his medical training at San Francisco’s Mount Zion Hospital and at UCLA before moving to New York as a young man. Dr. Sacks spent almost 50 years working as a neurologist and wrote a number of books about the strange neurological predicaments and conditions of his patients. Many know him as the doctor portrayed by Robin Williams in the movie “Awakenings.”
