Playhouse 22, East Brunswick’s community theater, will hold open auditions for its upcoming production of “The Drowsy Chaperone” 6-9 p.m. April 2 and 7-9:30 p.m. April 3 at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center, 721 Cranbury Road. Callbacks, by invitation only, are planned for 6 p.m. April 4.
Show dates will be June 9-25. Auditioners, who should prepare 16 bars of an up-tempo cut of a show tune that best displays the vocal abilities of the character(s) for which they are trying out, should bring sheet music and wear comfortable clothes and appropriate shoes in which to dance. An accompanist will be provided.
