Commuters should expect delays due to earlier derailment at New York Penn Station

NJ Transit’s Northeast Corridor line service is experiencing up to one-hour delays in both directions stemming from the derailment earlier in the day at New York Penn Station., NJ Transit said there is “limited” service into and out of New York, with delays and train cancellations. Commuters were urged to visit www.njtransit.com for travel information., Cross-honoring is in effect for all NJ Transit buses, private carriers, NY Waterway and Path trains, NJ Transit said., The delays stemmed from a mishap when three cars of an NJ Transit train derailed pulling into Penn Station around 9 a.m. “Four minor injuries” were reported, NJ Transit said., The mishap led to service suspended in both directions.
