Book sale, blood drive part of programs offered at Sayreville Library

Jamie Novak will return to the Sayreville Public Library at 6:30 p.m. on April 11 to “Jumpstart Your Spring Decluttering.” The organizing expert will discuss cleaning closets, clothes and piles of paperwork.

Celebrate Earth Day by attending the library’s seed swap. Stop by the library before April 21 to drop off seeds in the collection bin in the lobby, and to register. Label and seal all packets. From noon to 3 p.m. on April 22, seeds will have been sorted by type and be available for pickup.

The library will host a blood drive from 3-7 p.m. May 4. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are requested by visiting donor.cbsblood.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/45014.

The Friends of the Sayreville Library will hold its annual book sale from 1-3:30 p.m. on May 6 and 7, offering a selection of books, movies, music and audiobooks for sale. Proceeds benefit the children’s summer reading program at the library.
