Pollution, lighthouses topics of discussion at library

Among the Old Bridge Library’s April programming highlights are lectures on pollution, composting and lighthouses.

“Pointless Pollution” will be held at 2:30 p.m. on April 9. Amanda Wheeler from Clean Ocean Action will share information about the function of a watershed and its importance to the environment.

“Make Compost, Not Waste” will be held at 7 p.m. on April 20. Debbie Lee, a founder of Garden State Green Quest, will examine methods of addressing food waste.

“New Jersey Lighthouses” will be held at 6:30 p.m. on April 24. Presented by the N.J. Lighthouse Society, the program will discuss the different types of lighthouses in New Jersey, their history and the lives and responsibilities of the lighthouse keepers.

The Old Bridge Public Library is located at 1 Old Bridge Plaza at the corner of Route 516 and Cottrell Road in the Municipal Center.
