Jewish War Veterans Post No. 609, Monroe, is collecting used and unused stamps for hospitalized veterans.

The stamps are intended for use in activities designed to lift the vets’ spirits. Charlie Koppelman, deputy stamp project chairman, distributes the donations to more than 25 Veterans Affairs medical centers and their residents. The hospitalized veterans use the stamps in diverse ways; some vets collect and put them into albums, others use them for craft projects.
