Cheers to Whoopi Goldberg for standing up to fake news. On the March 13 episode of The View, the host tore into a Costa Rica–based blogger’s bogus post that Whoopi had trashed a fallen soldier’s widow, threatening legal action and hopefully scaring the bejesus out of others who report lies to earn “likes.”
Cheers to The Magicians for staging their own musical coup. The same week as The CW’s #SuperFlash extravaganza, Syfy’s fabulous drama dropped in a Les Miserables ditty as Eliot (Hale Appleman, center) headed into battle with the kingdom next door. And it was fittingly magical.
Jeers to Dancing with the Stars for casting pro-level “amateurs.” Heather Morris was a backup dancer for Beyonce before getting jiggy on Glee and Normani Kordei works the floor with Fifth Harmony. These are not newbies to moving it…and it’s not fair to their competitors.
Jeers to Eli Pope (Joe Morton, left, with Kerry Washington) for out- awfulling everyone on Scandal. Now that we know Liv’s horrific father also assassinated Vargas (Ricardo Chavira) and his own paramour (Tonya Pinkins), it’s time for someone to handle this monster. Huck, get to work!
