Old Bridge Library to hold programs for teens

The award, which recognizes Americans of all ages who have volunteered significant amounts of their time to serve their communities and their country, was granted by the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program on behalf of the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation. The YMCA of Western Monmouth County nominated Caitlin for national honors this fall in recognition of her volunteer service.

The Old Bridge Public Library will feature two unique programs for teens.

On April 20, there will be a “DIY Jell-O Lip Gloss” workshop at 7 p.m. Kids in grades 6-12 are invited to learn how to make their own flavorful, colorful lip gloss using a few simple ingredients, including Jell-O.

The second program, “Teens and Anxiety: Strategies to Decrease Stress for Your Teen,” will be held at 2 p.m. on April 23. The program is designed for parents and teens age 16 and older. Local pediatrician Ritu Khullar will provide helpful insights and coping skills, including diet, natural interventions and counseling.
