National Geographic’s new 10-part global event series, Genius, the network’s first scripted series will premiere on Tuesday, April 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, revealing how Albert became Einstein, exploring his extraordinary professional achievements along with his volatile, passionate and complex personal relationships. Though his scientific endeavors continue to inspire awe, few know the entire story of the tumultuous private life of the 20th century’s most brilliant icon, Albert Einstein. Genius tracks Einstein’s rise from humble origins as an imaginative, rebellious thinker, through his struggles to be recognized by the establishment, to his global celebrity status as the man who unlocked the mysteries of the cosmos with his theory of relativity. The all-star cast includes Geoffrey Rush as the celebrated titular scientist, Johnny Flynn as Albert in the years before he rose to international acclaim and Emily Watson as his second wife and first cousin, Elsa Einstein.
Morgan Freeman returns to host the final four episodes of the multiple Emmy® nominated series Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman beginning Tuesday, April 25 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Science Channel. Freeman will challenge audiences once again to think about daring questions while taking a deeper look at the science behind topics such as hidden forces in the universe, aging, the future of Earth, and gun violence. The series features some of the world’s top science experts asking and looking for answers to some of our planet’s most gripping questions.
Silicon Valley, the Emmy®-winning comedy series, will kick off its ten-episode fourth season Sunday, April 23 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on HBO. The series takes a comic look at the modern-day epicenter of the high-tech gold rush, where the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success. The show stars Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Amanda Crew, Matt Ross, Suzanne Cryer and Jimmy O. Yang.
After eight years, extreme angler and biologist Jeremy Wade is hanging up his fishing rod with the final season of River Monsters beginning on Sunday, April 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Animal Planet. The series has followed Wade’s life-long quest to find finned killers and discover which are predators, victims or the stuff of myth and legend.
