Arts programs available to South Brunswick seniors

The North Brunswick marching band performed at half time of their team's game against South Brunswick during their annual Thanksgiving Day game on Nov. 24 in North Brunswick. The Raiders were shut out by the Vikings 19 - 0.

 

The South Brunswick Senior Center will offer a variety of programs centered around arts and entertainment for residents ages 55 and older during May.

As part of the State Theatre’s Artist in Residency program, Glenis Redmond, an award-winning poet, educator and writer from North Carolina, will share tales of her life, her family and her heritage through her poetry from 12:15-1:30 p.m. May 8.

The Crossroads Middle School South Jazz Band will perform at 12:30 p.m. May 1, while the Crossroads Middle School North Jazz Band will perform at 12:30 p.m. May 11.

To Celebrate Older Americans Month, Winston will provide live music from 12:15-1:15 p.m. May 18. Sponsored by Atrium Health and Senior Living.

 

 

 

 

The Franklin High Steppers, a dance troupe of adults ages 55 and older, will perform at 12:30 p.m. May 30.
