Scholarships available for students with hearing loss

The Hearing Loss Association of New Jersey is offering as many as four scholarships worth $1,500 each to high school seniors with hearing loss.

High school seniors with hearing loss who plan to attend college, university or vocational school at the beginning of the Fall 2017 semester are invited to apply. Applicants must be a resident of New Jersey and between ages 17-20.

The scholarships are one-time awards which encourage and recognize academic achievement, leadership qualities, community service and work experience.

The complete application consists of a form, required letters of reference and an essay. The deadline to apply is May 1.

Scholarships will be awarded by the Hearing Loss Association of New Jersey to successful applicants in June, with the time and place yet to be announced.
