On April 26, the traffic signal at Stouts Lane and Route 522 in South Brunswick was damaged as a result of a motor vehicle collision, according to information provided by the South Brunswick Police Department.

The signal will not be operational for approximately two weeks while repairs are being made, police said. Left turns will be prohibited from Route 522 West onto Stouts Lane as well as from Stouts Lane onto Route 522 West.

Access to and from South Brunswick High School can be made from New Road to Ridge Road, from Route 1 to Ridge Road, or from Route 1 to Route 522 East.

Avoid the area if possible. Expect heavy delays throughout the morning and evening rush hours.
