The Atlantic City Regional Stand Down event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 17 at the All Wars Memorial, 1510 Adriatic Ave., Atlantic City.

The event will provide services to homeless veterans along with access to emergency shelters, meals, clothing and medical attention. The event will feature service providers such as state and federal agencies, the City of Atlantic City, various veterans’ service organizations, military personnel, local grammar schools, civic leaders and a variety of other organizations, as a catalyst that enables homeless veterans to re-enter mainstream society.

There will be a continental breakfast and lunch for each homeless veteran.

Free haircuts will be available, as will gently used clothing.

Free parking is located at the Historic Gardner’s Basin parking lot, 800 N. New Hampshire Ave. An Atlantic County Shuttle Bus will transport everyone to and from the Atlantic City Regional Stand Down site from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
