SOUTH BRUNSWICK – Police are seeking information in reference to a hit-and-run of a bicyclist on April 29.

The 67-year-old bicyclist from East Brunswick was riding north on Route 27 near Raymond Road around 2:30 p.m. when a vehicle struck his rear tire and knocked him from the bike, according to information provided by the South Brunswick Police Department.

The victim was thrown to the roadway and received abrasions and contusions to his back and shoulder. He was treated and released from an area hospital, police said.

A witness described the vehicle as a white pickup truck, possibly a landscaping truck, with commercial writing on the side. The truck turned onto Raymond Road and was last seen headed towards Route 1, according to reports.

Anyone with information should call Officer William Beard at 732-329-4000, ext. 4446.
