Residents who may have a loved one gone missing are encouraged to attend the “Missing in New Jersey” event that will be held by the New Jersey State Police from 1-5 p.m. May 20 at the Rutgers University College Avenue Student Center, 126 College Ave., New Brunswick.

Families and friends of the missing can gather to heal, network, learn and keep hope alive. Families will also be able to provide biometric data, which will only be used to help solve missing person cases and unidentified human remains. If you are unsure about your own origins and background, you can submit DNA that could be linked to an unidentified child abduction case.

Families who want to participate should preregister by e-mailing NJMissing@gw.njsp.org or by calling Sgt. Joel Trella at 609-882-2000, ext. 2554.
