High school students receive Caring Awards


The Middlesex County Guidance Council recently presented Caring Awards to high school students at a dinner held at Middlesex County College.

The Caring Award, given to one student from each high school in the county, is for outstanding volunteer community service.

Recipients include Gabrielle Pietanza, Spotswood High School; Veronica Torres, Sayreville War Memorial High School; Jackie Paradise, East Brunswick High School; Alyssa Cassisi, South River High School; Wamia Siddiqui, Middlesex Academy (Allied Health & Biomedical Sciences); Anum Kazmi, North Brunswick Township High School; Lisa Brown, Monroe Township High School; Elise Goris, Woodbridge High School; Emily Sanford, Colonia High School; Sebastian Zuniga, Metuchen High School;

Elijah Koyongian, Edison High School; Ernest Cleworth, South Brunswick High School; Gabriela Abreu, Bishop George Ahr High School; Nicholas Garison, JFK High School; Thomas Syx, East Brunswick Vo-Tech; Sydney Chiou, J.P. Stevens High School; Matthew Schnell, South Amboy High School; John Fresco of St. Joseph’s; and Anuva Goel of Wardlaw-Hartridge.
