Long-time members of VFW will be honored during Memorial Day ceremony

Memorial Day remembrance services will be held at 11 a.m. on May 29 on the front lawn of the Lt. John Farnkopf American Legion Post 401, 148 Major Road, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.

During the ceremony, two long-time members of the post will be recognized for their 50 years of continuous membership: Hank DeGroff and Joe Duca. Mayor Chris Killmurray has been invited to speak; Gary Cooper, post commander, and Mary Halecki, auxiliary president, will present the ceremonial wreaths which honors those who gave their lives in military service to the United States. Music will be provided by the South Brunswick High School Band.

Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
