Red Bank High inducts six alumni into hall of fame

Red Bank Regional High School recently celebrated the induction of six alumni into the school’s hall of fame.

Carol Penn, Cassandra Dorn, Joey Fields, Ramona Johnson, Erin Curtis, and James Pierson were inducted into the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame on April 28 during a ceremony that was held in the high school’s theatre.

Penn, who was graduated from the class of 1974, is s a physician in family practice medicine. Dorn, who was graduated with her class in ’86, is an English teacher at Red Bank High.

Fields, who was in the class of ’87, is a sergeant in the Red Bank Police Department. Johnson, a member of the class of ’91, is a Lead Resource Inclusion Teacher at Hawkins Street School in Newark.

Curtis, who was graduated in the  class of ’97,  is a Red Bank business owner and doctor.  Pierson, who was a member of the class of ’01, and is the Red Bank Middle School Vice Principal.

Each inductee was introduced by a student who presently attends Red Bank High.

Various clubs from the school contributed to the ceremony, including the catering that was produced by the culinary students and the music that was provided by the VPA piano majors.

Senator Jennifer Beck (R-Monmouth), Red Bank Mayor Pasquale Menna and Shrewsbury Mayor Donald Burden were among the politicians who attended the ceremony.
