Rise Up Chorus, Metuchen’s newest non-profit organization, will set its sights high with a kickoff event — a Community Sing — from 2-5 p.m. June 4 at St. Luke’s Church, 17 Oak Ave., Metuchen.

Under the direction of Edison resident Matthew LaPine, founder and artistic director, youths and adults alike will learn new choral music and meet new people. At the end of the session, participants will join in a pizza party.

This event is free and open to everyone in the community — youths in grades 3-12 and adults ages 18 and older. A photographer and videographer will be on site to help Rise Up Chorus create promotional materials for its upcoming season.
