Bear sighted in Middletown on May 25

There was a bear sighting  on the evening of May 25 in the area by Nut Swamp Road in Middleown, according to township officials. Middletown Police have been patrolling in the area.

Authorities urge residents to not approach the bear if they see it, and to call the local authorities immediately. Other safety tips include keeping your garbage in a concealed container and removing outside food left for animals and pets.
