Baptist minister to discuss courage of POW father

Planning is underway for the fifth annual public affairs program sponsored by Hadassah Associates in cooperation with Alisa and Monroe Township Hadassah Chapters.

Highlighting this year’s event will be the Rev. Chris Edmonds of Maryville, Tennessee, a Baptist minister who will speak about how his father saved the lives of his comrades while a prisoner of war in Germany during World War II.

The program will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 10 at the Monroe Senior Center, 12 Halsey Reed Road, Monroe.
