Two suspects charged after powerwashing house

EAST BRUNSWICK – Police charged two individuals with burglary after they allegedly stole items from inside a residence they were hired to power wash.

Patrol units responded to Henry Street and spoke with the victim, who stated that she left for a short time while the individuals were power washing the residence, according to information provided by the East Brunswick Police Department.

She told police that when she returned, she observed a 53-year-old male from Monroe and a 31-year-old female from North Brunswick, exiting the rear of the residence carrying items out of her home.

The victim stated that the suspects accessed a rear sun room of the home but not the main residence, according to police.

The male was charged with burglary and theft. The female was charged with burglary, theft and hindering apprehension. She also had an outstanding warrant for $10,000 for prostitution out of North Bergen and posted bail.

Both were issued summonses and released.
