Rita Gigante, author of “The Godfather’s Daughter: An Unlikely Story of Love, Healing and Redemption” will speak at 2 p.m. June 17 at the Old Bridge Public Library, 1 Old Bridge Plaza at the corner of Route 516 and Cottrell Road, Old Bridge.
Gigante’s father was the notorious crime boss Vincent “The Chin” Gigante, the leader of the Genovese crime family in New York City. However, she was kept in the dark about his underworld activities until she was 16. Gigante will share her real-life father-daughter tale of betrayal and faith, violence and love, and talk about coming to terms with her father, her faith and coming out to her family.
Copies of the book will be available to purchase and a book signing will follow the presentation.
