Native American festival to be held June 17-18 in East Brunswick

A day full of costumes and dancers during the Raritan Native American Heritage Celebration at the Middlesex County Faigrounds on June 18.

The Raritan Native American Heritage Celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on June 17 and 18, rain or shine, at the Middlesex County Fairgrounds, 655 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, in partnership with the Redhawk Native American Arts Council.

Native American singers, dancers and artists from across the Americas will be performing. There will be contest dancing, Pura Women’s Fancy Shawl Special, Purple Hearts Men’s Traditional Special and the 49 Hand Drum Contest.

All are welcome to attend, but seating is limited so bring your own lawn chairs.

The cost is $12 for adults and teens, $8 for children ages 6-12, or $10 for students and seniors over age 65. Family four-packs for $35 are available online only.
