On May 14, the Cecilian Music Club presented its 26th annual Cecilian Award Competition Gold and Silver recitals.
In the Silver recital, piano solos were performed by Katharine Arthur, Ashley Atherholy, Nicole Au, Allen Fu, Mia Glass, Maegan Hontanosas, Allen Ma, Grace Nivera, Robert Paglia, Tiffani Paglia, Olivia Park, Sophia Schwab, Florence So, Lisa Tsai, Julie Wang, Karen Wang, Elizabeth Wright, Ryan Yan, and Jacob Zhang.
Flute solos were performed by Vici Iasso and Joy Tan. Katherine Chen, Annette Siu, Amanda Wang and Eric Xu performed a flute quartet.
In the Gold recital, piano solos were performed by Ivy Chung, Meredith Fan, Dylan Fitzgerald, May Ge, Alex Ha, Julie Ham, Justin Ham, Dhruv Hemmige, Ishan Hemmige, Andrew Herh, Brandon Ho, Jacquelyn Hunter.
And, Michelle Kuo, Howard Lai, Andrew Lee, Kevin Lui, Ian Mauser, Angela Murphy, Jonathan Shen, Matthew Shen, Evan Smith, Angela Wang, Elizabeth Wang, Kayla Yong, Joshua Yi, Julia Yi, and Angela Zhang.
Harp solos were performed by Krystle Di Cristofalo and Victoria Zhang.
Piano duets were performed by Ashley Lee/Andrew Lee and Joshua Yi/Julie Ham. Ashley Wang, Elizabeth Wang and Michelle Kuo performed a piano trio.
The teachers who prepared students for the recital were Colette Adams of Highland Park, Augustus M. Arnone of Neptune, Helen Bungert of Howell, Beth S. Chen of Marlboro, Yvonne Chin of East Windsor, Andreea Fegan of Fair Haven, Yvonne Huang of Morris Plains.
And, Lu Meng of Cliffside Park, Qian Xin Mao of Monroe Township, Marjorie Mollenauer of Colts Neck, Corina Pauta of Locust, Jessica Chia-Jung Tsai of East Windsor, Chia-Hsiu Wang of Parsippany, Yining Wang of Princeton, Alan Wasserman of Jackson, Therese Whelan of Wanamassa and An-li Young of East Brunswick.
The Cecilian Music Club, founded in 1883, is an organization of teachers, performers, and music lovers dedicated to the study and performance of classical music, according to a press release.
