LINCROFT- Newman Springs Dental Care awarded Madison Mittenzwei a $500 scholarship for a Middletown High School South graduating senior planning to study in the health care field.
The award was presented by Dr. Mitchel Friedman of Newman Springs Dental Care on June 1 at the school’s student awards night. This is the eighth year that the scholarship has been awarded.
“We hope to support higher education dreams,” Dr. Friedman said.
The award winner Mittenzwei will study nursing at DeSales University in Bethlehem, Pa., in the fall.
“There were several candidates who were worthy of the scholarship, Madison just stood out from the applicants,” Friedman said. “She wants to be a nurse and has helped her mother with many of her health care challenges.”
This award is meaningful to Dr. Friedman as a graduate of Middletown High School. His mother, Sheila Friedman Rubin, taught in Middletown for her entire career in education.
Newman Springs Dental Care is a dental practice in Lincroft providing general, cosmetic and sedation dentistry for Middletown residents and those in the surrounding areas.
