Students completed and application and wrote a 350-500 word essay on one of three topics regarding community service, leadership, and extra curricular activities, according to the press release. Each winner received a  “Future Seraph Scholarship,” worth $1,000 each to go towards their first year at Mater Dei Prep.

The winners were Abigail Williams from St. Stanislaus Kostka School in Sayreville, Hanna Hale from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Middletown and Caroline Loniewski from St. Benedict Catholic School in Holmdel.

Kathleen Daly, the Director of Enrollment and Advancement at Mater Dei Prep, raved about this year’s winners.

“I am impressed and commend with the incredible work the Mater Dei Prep Future Seraph Essay winners have done in the community,” Daly said. “They wrote beautifully about their commitment to organizations such as: the SPCA, youth athletics, the Ronald McDonald House, vacation bible camp, food drives and gift drives.  I look forward to having these involved community minded individuals part of the Seraph family in the future.”
