WOODBRIDGE – An unidentified man was fatally shot and another man was wounded at a Route 1 motel in the township on June 21.
Woodbridge police were called to the Loop Inn Motel at 4:53 a.m. and found the victims, one of whom was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:36 a.m., according to a statement released by Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Director Robert Hubner of the Woodbridge Police Department.
The second victim was taken to University Hospital in Newark, where he was listed in critical condition.
No arrests have been made, but an investigation is active and is continuing, officials said.
