Fridays filled with movies, discussions at Monroe library

The Monroe Township Public Library will hold free afternoon movies at 2 p.m. Fridays in July at the library, 4 Municipal Plaza, Monroe.

Selections include a movie about the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing on July 17, a movie about a working-class African-American father on July 14 and a movie about the Rebel Alliance making a risky move to steal the plans for the Death Star on July 21.

A documentary film and discussion will be held at 1 p.m. July 8. The documentary film is directed by Liz Garbus about life as a New York City firefighter starring actor Steve Buscemi. A discussion will follow with guest speaker, Monroe Township Fire Department Lieutenant Wayne Lyons.
