HOWELL – The Howell Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Country Farms convenience store at 947 Route 524 (Adelphia Road) at about 5:40 a.m. June 21 and seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the lone suspect.

According to a press release issued on the afternoon of June 21, Howell Police Communications received a 911 call reporting the robbery from the store employee who was involved in the incident.

Several Howell police units were on scene within minutes, but were unable to locate the suspect.

According to police, during the robbery the suspect demanded cash and Marlboro Red cigarettes, which the employee provided. The suspect held the employee at gunpoint with a black semi-automatic handgun. The suspect stuffed the proceeds of the robbery into a bag and fled the scene.

No shots were fired, no assault took place and no one was injured in the robbery, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male who was wearing a black mask covering his face. Police said he is likely in his 20’s or 30’s, between 5-feet, 8-inches and 6-feet tall, with a medium build. The man was wearing a gray baseball cap with the brand Stussy written across the front, a long-sleeve gray shirt, dark gray sweatpants and tan work boots. He had a black bag, possibly a tool bag of some kind, with a red interior.

The suspect was operating a four-door 2000 to 2003 Nissan Maxima, tan or gold in color, with damage to the area where the front driver’s side door meets the fender and possibly more damage to the fender itself, according to police.
