Sporting events should be taken lightly

Frank Wojciechowski
Team United player, Humir Quadri of East Bruns at bat during the friendly Tape Ball cricket tournament held at Heavenly Farms in East Brunswick on August 13.

Whenever India and Pakistan meet in cricket semifinal or final matches, people on both sides of the border expect only a win from their team. If their team does not win, they go wild against their team and do silly things. We as people must understand our players do their best but remember, one team always comes out as the winner and the other team loses but we should not treat our team players in a disrespectful manner. I urge everyone across the border, please take any sports events between two countries as lightly as possible.
