Six-week series on chronic disease management begins July 11 at Old Bridge Library

The Old Bridge Library will offer a six-week session on chronic disease management from 1-3:30 p.m. Tuesdays, July 11-Aug. 15, at the library, 1 Old Bridge Plaza, which is located at the corner of Route 516 and Cottrell Road, Old Bridge.

The program was created for those suffering from, or caring for someone, with chronic conditions such as arthritis, heart disease, osteoporosis or diabetes. The sessions will allow participants to learn how to manage symptoms, communicate effectively with doctors, facilitate daily tasks, and will provide tips on healthy diet and exercise.

Participants must attend all six classes and will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the program.

The course is offered through the Middlesex County Office of Health Services.
