Jamesburg councilman charged with cocaine possession after crash

JAMESBURG – Jamesburg Borough Councilman Thomas Busco, Jr. was allegedly found in possession of cocaine when he crashed his vehicle at 5:43 p.m. July 7 at Buckelew Avenue in the borough, according to Chief of Police James Craparotta.

Busco was charged with reckless and careless driving, operating under the influence of liquor or drugs, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, according to Craparotta.

Busco was first elected to the council in November 2009, according to Business Administrator Scott M. Frueh. He was reelected in November 2015 for another three-year term. His current term expires on Dec. 31, 2018, according to Frueh.
