The 12U Sayreville Little League team will open play in the state tournament tomorrow, July 18, at the Hamilton Township Recreation Baseball Association ‘s Van Horn Park in Mercerville.
Sayreville will play Holbrook on July 18 at 8 p.m. A victory will send Sayreville to the semifinals on July 21 in Mercerville.
Sayreville gained a berth in the state tournament after it had knocked off Hamilton Township, 10-6, in the Section 3 final on July 15 in Mercerville.
Sayreville’s 10U team lost to Sayre Woods South, 7-6, in the District 10 final on July 15 at the Milltown Little League field.
