The Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank will serve as the host to an art exhibit called Then and Now, featuring four local artists who have displayed their art work at this show for eight consecutive years in the months of July and August.

These artists include Annette Margulies, Tyrrell Masse, Edy Ottesen and Leona Tenebruso-Shultes.

Their original art will be displayed in the lobby, lounge and mezzanine of the hotel. Approximately 40 abstract and contemporary paintings are being featured as part of the hotel’s ongoing showcase of local artists’ works during this exhibit.

These featured artists are active members of the arts communities in New Jersey, New York and Florida. Their work has been sold internationally and nationally.

Then and Now was selected as the theme to show the evolution of the artists’ work over the eight years that their art has been showcased. According to those involved in the event, their work shows the artistic growth, transition of style, and a mixture of mediums of each respective artist.

“The paintings of these four artists range significantly in style,” stated the show’s curator, Gerda Liebmann. “The distinctive paths of their lives and their individual creative inspirations lend vibrancy to the overall viewing experience.”

Kevin Barry, the operations manager for the Oyster Point Hotel, said he is pleased to welcome back these four talented individuals.

“We are delighted to host this eighth annual exhibit of contemporary works by these gifted artists. Their eclectic mix of art perfectly represents the creative spirit of central New Jersey,” Barry said.

The hotel will also offer a free “Meet the Artists” reception with wine and light fare on July 19 from 7 to 9 p.m.
