Lecture to chronicle story of grandfather who saved lives during Holocaust

The American Jewish Experience Lecture Series, presented by the Jewish Historical Society of Central Jersey, continues for its 20th consecutive year with a presentation by Regie Buchsbaum Roth entitled “My Grandfather’s Legacy.”

Roth’s grandfather was instrumental in bringing many Jews to America to escape Nazi persecution. Documentation of his efforts will be featured in 2018 at the U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C.

The lecture will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 8 at Jewish Family Services, 52 Concordia Shopping Center, Monroe.

The lecture will be repeated at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 16 at the Highland Park Conservative Temple, 201 South Third Ave., Highland Park.

Both lectures are open to the public. A donation of $2 is requested at the door.
