Metuchen Library hosts watercolor exhibit

Sandy Mezinis, a Metuchen artist, has been elected to the American Watercolor Society honoring watercolor artists throughout the United States and internationally.

Currently, Sandy’s paintings are on view at a solo exhibition “Portraits and Figures in Watercolor”  at the Metuchen Public Library. The show is on exhibit  through August.  Viewing hours are MondayThursday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. The library is located at 480 Middlesex Ave., Metuchen.

Mezinis was one of 23 artists from throughout the United States to be selected this year. She has won many awards and has exhibited in the the New Jersey/New York metropolitan area and in Florida and the Florida Keys.

Mezinis is a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio and holds masters and specialist degrees from Rutgers University. She studied and exhibited at the School of Visual Arts, The National Academy of Art and Design and the Arts Student League in NYC. She is a signature member of the New Jersey Watercolor Society, The Garden State Watercolor Society and the Florida Watercolor Society.
