Companies and organizations including Backstage, FACES, BBR Productions, the New Jersey Film Commission, and Bicoastal MGMT will be present at the festival.

Industry members will network with film-lovers and filmmakers alike, where participants can meet casting directors, writers, actors, and managers to fully immerse themselves in this artistic culture.

Besides the screenings on Aug. 12 and 13, there will also be a panel discussion at the festival. Some of these panelists include Taimak, star of the cult classic film, The Last Dragon, author of “Pocket Lawyer for Filmmakers” and “Pocket Lawyer for Comic Book Creators”, Thomas Crowell, Emmy award-winning documentary editor and filmmaker, Jennifer Fineran.

The organization is still finalizing the 2017 program,.

The Monmouth Film Festival is eager to screen Shooting Clerks, the story of how Red Bank native Kevin Smith developed his film from script to screen.

Other spotlight feature films are to include Lemon, starring Michael Cera (Juno, Superbad, Arrested Development), directed by FX’s Atlanta director Janicza Bravo.

VIP passes are available for pre-sale now at $85 per participant, with unlimited access to all of the weekend’s event and to the VIP lounge. Tickets will be on sale until mid-July.

The website and the Monmouth Film Festival Facebook page will be updated as the 2017 program is finalized and announced to the public. For more information on tickets, VIP passes, and purchasing space at the festival, visit www.MonmouthFilmFestival.org.
