A series of yoga classes for children will be held on Tuesdays, Aug. 29-Sept. 19, at the North Brunswick Senior Center, 15 Linwood Place, North Brunswick.
Ages 4-8 will practice from 4:30-5 p.m., ages 9-12 will practice from 5-5:45 p.m. and children with special needs will practice from 5:45-6:15 p.m.
Each class will be age-appropriate and led differently than a typical adult class. Through the use of light poses, music and yoga stories, children will be taught basic stretching exercises that increase strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness.
Bring a yoga mat.
The fee is $30 per child.
